On 23rd February, 2010, ZPEB Rig 919 spudded well Bayooot-8 in the Bayoot Field. The well was drilled to TD of 3874m MD on 21st April. The top reservoir was encountered 42m MD high relative to prognosis. A total basement section of 707m was drilled. A small multi-rate injection test was conducted post drilling to stimulate the natural fracture system in the well. The well will be completed as an oil producer with an ESP to improve oil off take.
