Well Raoq-1 re-entered for near wellbore sidetrack.
On 1st July, 2009, Rig 919 was brought out of “warm stack” to re-enter the previously suspended oil producer Raoq-1. A near wellbore sidetrack has been planned to target the oil shows encountered in the Naifa and Madbi formations in the original well.
The well is planned to kick-off (deviate) from the host well at 2,550 m MD, and be drilled to a TD (Total Depth) of 3,250m MD. The well will be logged and based on results, a liner run ahead of testing the well. Operations are scheduled for 38 days.
