Dove Energy has a 30% share in Licence BT-REC-30 (Block REC-T-165) with Norse Energy (30%) and Starfish Oil and Gas (40%) who operate the block.

Setting
The block is situated in the Reconcavo Basin on the Northeastern coast of Brazil. The Reconcavo Basin is an intracontinental rift basin, which developed during the opening of the South Atlantic Ocean. The rocks are terrestrial with syn-rift lacustrine source rocks and syn-rift fluvio-deltaic siliciclastic reservoir rocks.

Prospectivity 
The basin is the oldest petroleum-producing basin in Brazil and as such is at a mature stage of exploration. The oil systems are proven with many fields in the basin.
